Heidi J Foley

Biography

Dr. Heidi graduated from the Medical College of Georgia before completing her residency in Family Medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.  She is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Physicians.  In 2004, Dr. Heidi moved from Georgia to Massachusetts to open her private practice in the North Quabbin Region.  Prior to attending medical school, she was a research and development chemist for a pharmaceutical company.  Her next career was teaching science to middle and high school students who were high at risk or had learning disabilities.  She uses the skills she developed while teaching to help educate patients about healthy lifestyles and about their medical concerns.  Dr. Heidi has studied mindfulness and uses these techniques to help patients with multiple medical issues, including hypertension, anxiety, and substance use disorder.  She also helped write the Affordable Care Act because she believes that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare.

 Doctor Heidi came to Atkinson Family Practice to join a professional group, that worked as a true team and who's number one priority was to give quality care to all of their patients.  The idea of having a chiropractor, massage therapist, chronic care management, behavioral health, TMS, health coaches, nutritionist and a caring team all in one place, is inspiring. 

During her free time Dr. Heidi enjoys watching and cheering on her favorite New England sports teams, especially the Patriots and Bruins.  She loves her family time with her husband and daughter, playing games, taking care of her house plants and spending time with her fuzzy family of Olaf, Walter and Jasmine.
